Documents, folders & Obsidian

Documents

Point Selv at your PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets and more, and ask about them the same way you'd ask about anything else in your memory. Parsing and search both happen entirely on-device.

Obsidian vaults

Connect an Obsidian vault as a folder and Selv reads every note — frontmatter, daily notes, and wiki-links between notes are all understood, not just plain text. Everything stays on-device, the same as any other document source.

What's off by default

Neither source reads anything until you point it at a specific folder or vault — nothing is scanned automatically.
