Your license and your memory
A license gives you access to a plan — see Plans for what each one includes. Your captured memory is stored on your device; it is not an online backup that appears automatically when you sign in somewhere else.
Before replacing or erasing a device, keep a secure backup of the memory you want to retain. Keep your purchase email for help with a paid license.
Moving to another device
Contact support@selv.io for help transferring or recovering your license. Include the email used for your purchase. Do not send your private memory or passwords.
If a device is lost or stolen
Recovering a license does not recover files that were only on that device — your memory lives on the device it was captured on, not in a Selv cloud account. See How your data stays on your Mac for how local data is protected.
